- Is it really free? Do I need an account?
- Yes. You can run the free tools 5 times a day without an account. A free SyncStudy account lets you save what you make and keep studying it.
- How do I import the cards into Anki or Quizlet?
- Choose Download CSV. In Anki, use File, Import and pick the file; the first column is the front and the second is the back. In Quizlet, create a set, choose Import, paste the rows from the file and pick Comma as the separator.
- What kind of notes work best?
- Lecture notes, textbook sections and study guides all work. The more specific your notes are, the more specific the cards will be. Very short notes give fewer useful cards.
- Can I upload a scanned PDF?
- Not in the free tool. It reads PDFs that contain real text, up to the first 15 pages. Inside a free SyncStudy account you can upload scanned PDFs and larger files.
- Do you keep my notes?
- No. The free tools do not save your notes or your results. Your text is sent to our AI model to build the result and is not stored in SyncStudy. Copy or download anything you want to keep.
- What do I get with a free account?
- Your cards are saved in a study space, you can make more from the whole document, and reviews are scheduled with spaced repetition so cards come back right before you would forget them.
