1. Overview

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains our policies regarding subscription cancellations, refunds, and billing disputes for SyncStudy services. By subscribing to our paid plans, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.

2. Free Trial

SyncStudy Pro offers a 7-day free trial for new subscribers who have not previously used a trial period.

  • You can cancel at any time during the trial period without being charged
  • If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your payment method will be automatically charged for the subscription
  • Free trial is limited to one per user/account
  • We reserve the right to verify eligibility and revoke trial access if abused

3. Subscription Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis:

  • Monthly Plan: Billed every month on the same date you subscribed
  • Annual Plan: Billed every year on the anniversary of your subscription date
  • All charges are processed through Stripe, our secure payment processor
  • You will receive an email receipt for each charge
  • Subscription automatically renews unless cancelled before the next billing date

4. Cancellation Policy

You can cancel your subscription at any time:

  • Cancel through your Account Settings or by contacting [email protected]
  • Your access to Pro features continues until the end of your current billing period
  • No prorated refunds are provided for partial billing periods
  • After cancellation, you will revert to the Free plan at the end of your billing cycle
  • All your data, quizzes, and content remain accessible on the Free plan

5. Refund Policy

Important: We do not offer refunds for subscription fees once charged.

Specifically:

  • No refunds for partial months or unused portions of your subscription period
  • No refunds if you forget to cancel before your renewal date
  • No refunds for subscriptions purchased at discounted or promotional rates
  • Annual subscriptions are non-refundable, even if cancelled early

Exception: Refunds may be considered on a case-by-case basis for technical issues that prevent service access, provided you contact us within 7 days of the charge at [email protected].

6. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Important Notice: Filing a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us can result in:

  • Immediate suspension or termination of your SyncStudy account
  • Loss of access to all your data, quizzes, and study materials
  • Additional fees charged by our payment processor (typically $15-$25)
  • Permanent ban from future use of SyncStudy services
  • Legal action to recover disputed amounts and associated fees

Before filing a dispute: Please contact us at [email protected]. We are committed to resolving billing issues fairly and promptly. Most concerns can be resolved within 24-48 hours.

7. Failed Payments

If your payment method fails:

  • We will attempt to charge your payment method up to 3 times over a 10-day period
  • You will receive email notifications about failed payment attempts
  • Your account may be temporarily downgraded to Free plan if payment continues to fail
  • You can update your payment method in Account Settings at any time

8. Price Changes

We reserve the right to change our subscription prices at any time. However:

  • Current subscribers will receive at least 30 days notice of price changes
  • Price changes will take effect on your next renewal date
  • You can cancel before the renewal if you disagree with the new pricing

9. Account Termination by SyncStudy

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend accounts that:

  • Violate our Terms of Service
  • Engage in fraudulent activity or abuse of service
  • File illegitimate chargebacks or payment disputes
  • Share account credentials with others

No refunds will be provided for accounts terminated due to Terms of Service violations.
